Self Assessment

Self assessment is the process of reviewing your performance, in order to know how much you have achieved within a given period of time.

Self assessment can be carried out:

  • Daily
  • Weekly
  • Monthly
  • Yearly

Self assessment is the process of appraising your performance, for instance, you can review what you have done in a day (for daily self assessment) in order to know which areas to focus on. When you realize that you are not meeting up to some of your set targets, you will need to change your strategy, which means that you will change your approach in order to get a different result.

There was a time I had to perform self assessment, which made me realize that I had to improve on my listening skill (listen more and talk less), which enabled me to build successful relationships. Also I had to learn to smile well and more often, no matter the circumstance, in order to be more approachable to speak with, my friends can attest to that.

You need to regularly review your performance, also make sure you have a detailed plan, if you don’t have a plan yet, start planning now and make sure your plans are SMART i.e

S – Smart

M – Measurable

A – Attainable

R – Realistic

T – Time bound

It’s not easy, but it’s simple!

    1. Yes it is. We would know what we have done by keeping track records. Basically you need to improve on reviewing what you’ve done, on a regular basis. You’re welcome. Thank you for stopping by.
